The leatherette we use consists of Hi-Loft polyester and vinyl. This material is highly resistant to UV rays, offers antibacterial protection, and has a stain-resistant finish, making it suitable for outdoor use.
Disinfection: Rinse the area with clean water, then dry it with a clean, lint-free cloth after using disinfectants and neutral detergents.
Cleaning after disinfection: The product must be cleaned on a regular basis to preserve its appearance and prevent the build-up of dirt and contaminants. Any stains, spills, or dirt must be removed immediately to prevent the possibility of permanent staining.
Use a 1:1 mixture of neutral pH liquid soap and water to remove stains from the surface of the material. Fully remove any excess detergent with a clean, damp white cloth; then dry the surfaces. Lacquers, aggressive detergents, and solutions based on xylene, acetone, or ketone (MEK) cause immediate damage and contribute to the deterioration of the material. Any damage caused by these products will invalidate the guarantee.
Cleaning methods for removing stubborn stains:
- Type 1: coffee, fruit juice, red wine, sauces, chocolate, grease, crayon, and sunscreen. Remove the excess spill with a damp cloth. Clean with a 1:1 mixture of neutral liquid, water, and soap: then rinse with clean water and dry.
- Type 2: make-up. Use a direct application of pH neutral soap. Clean with a clean white cloth or a soft brush, rinse with clean water and dry.
- Type 3: blood, urine, faeces, and all other stubborn stains. Use a 1:10 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water: rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry.
- Complete cleaning: use a soft, white cotton cloth dampened with the recommended detergent and rub the stain in a circular motion ten or more times. Dry with another soft, white cotton cloth and check the results. Do not use brushes with steel bristles, abrasive or metal pads, as they will cause permanent damage to the fabric.
Methods 2 and 3 are not recommended for everyday cleaning! Rinse with clean water after cleaning and dry with a lint-free cloth. Failure to remove chemical residues will lead to discolouration of the coated fabric surface, appearing early in the product's life cycle.
